Our client, a Global Shipping Entity, is seeking a Senior In-House Paralegal, to join their expanding Central London team. The successful paralegal will report directly into the General Counsel and will assist in dealing with a variety of shipping finance, sales & purchasing matters.

Key Skills and Responsibilities include assisting with:
- Assist the firm’s legal function in transactional support
- Reviewing new and tendered business Contracts
- Liaising and working with external counsel
- Liaising with internal departments
- Contractual negotiation assistance
- Dealing with operating leases
- Dealing with corporate governance matters
- Maintenance of contract archive records
- Dealing with KYC and AML matters
- General legal assistance and administration
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who is passionate about the Maritime sector. Liaising with up to C-level executives, this is a fantastic paralegal role for an experienced legal professional keen to gain corporate commercial exposure in-house. The role is hands-on from the start and there is scope for the responsibilities to develop as the team expands.
Candidate Requirements
The company is seeking an experienced Paralegal who eager to develop their career in Shipping and enjoys working in a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial environment.
- You must have prior in-house Shipping industry experience, in particular shipping finance and sales & purchases
- Completed the LPC
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and good commercial acumen
- It is essential that the successful candidate can exhibit an in-depth knowledge of legal terms and concepts
- Able to take a commercial approach when providing advice and feedback to the business
- The ideal candidate will be adept at working within a fast-paced environment.
