Corporate Counsel – 6+ Month Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities

This is a 6-month+ Fixed Term Contract for a mid-level Corporate Counsel (Energy & Infrastructure), to start as soon as possible. Reporting into the Associate General Counsel, the successful Corporate Counsel will work with the infrastructure investment and asset management teams.  The Corporate Legal Counsel will play a crucial role dealing with the following:

  • Advising on Sales and acquisitions, including;
    • Heads of terms, conducting due diligence reports, reviewing share purchase agreements and joint venture agreements
    • Warranty & indemnity process
    • Anti-trust matters
    • Foreign direct investment analysis and filings
  • Development agreements and Construction agreements
  • Power Purchase Agreements
  • Financing Agreements
  • Managing external counsel, ensuring the company wide policy is adhered to, such as ABC, compliance and regulatory matters
  • Contributing to and maintaining the Legal team know-how and templates

The role is wide-ranging, due to the division’s impressive growth strategy. The successful Corporate Counsel will work closely with the Associate General Counsel during an incredibly busy period.

You

A passionate and enthusiastic Corporate lawyer (Energy & Infrastructure) who can offer value to the business by excelling in the area of stakeholder management. Prior experience in Infrastructure management would be beneficial, however all candidates with relevant Corporate legal experience are encouraged to apply. Ideally, the successful candidate will have trained within a top tier Legal 500 or City firm and had prior in-house experience at group level.
