Our client, a Global Energy Company, is seeking a KYC Compliance Officer to join their expanding Central London company secretarial and compliance department. The successful KYC Compliance Officer will report directly into the General Counsel, and also handle some company secretarial matters for the entity.

The Company

Responsibilities

Key Skills and Responsibilities include assisting with:

  • Managing the global company compliance requirements
  • Conducting Know Your Counterparty (KYC) requests from third parties such as suppliers, customers and banks
  • Coordinating corporate secretarial compliance for all the group’s global entities
  • Arranging new entities in various jurisdictions
  • Working with third parties to authorised signatories to ensure documents and KYC forms are correctly managed
  • Arranging powers of attorney for the company’s entities
  • Assisting with instructing external law firms in different jurisdictions
  • Maintaining up-to-date records for corporate compliance
  • Drafting corporate documentation and forms such as board minutes
  • Arranging Board Meetings and AGMs where necessary
  • Supporting the legal team with other general administrative duties

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain high value, international commercial contracts experience within a constantly varied working environment. Liaising with up to C-level executives, this is a fantastic KYC Compliance role for an experienced professional keen to gain corporate commercial/company secretarial exposure within a global business. The role is hands-on from the start and there is scope for the responsibilities to develop as the legal and corporate teams expand.

Candidate Requirements

The company is seeking a KYC Compliance Officer eager to develop their career in a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial environment.

  • Preferably at least a years’ experience dealing with relevant KYC and general commercial matters
  • Prior experience within the commodities/trading/energy sectors is desirable, but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and good commercial acumen
  • Prior in-house experience is highly desirable
  • It is essential that the successful candidate can exhibit an in-depth knowledge of legal terms and concepts
  • Able to take a commercial approach when providing advice and feedback to the business

 

The ideal candidate will be adept at working within a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skill and the ability to build rapport with range of business stakeholders will be highly beneficial
