Due to exponential growth, our client, a Boutique Global Insurance Consultancy, is seeking a Junior Insurance Consultant to join their Project Finance department. The insurance group specialises in advising clients in the Energy & Infrastructure sectors.

Reporting to the Directors of the Project Finance department, the successful Insurance Consultant will have the opportunity to assist in advising on high value transactions, including power, energy, infrastructure, utilities and renewable projects.

The role is ideally suited to a junior insurance consultant, who is part of a graduate training scheme or has recently completed a graduate insurance internship and has begun their Chartered Institute of Insurance examinations (CII).

Key Skills and Responsibilities include:

To provide high quality consultancy advice on the insurance and indemnity provisions of project agreements, and on the insurance provisions of finance and security documentation.

  • Advising on all phases of loan projects, including Construction, operating etc.
  • Advising clients on insurance requirements and relevant lenders’ terms of business
  • Consulting on reinsurance requirements and regulatory lender restrictions
  • Drafting and negotiating insurance loan agreements , advising on risk allocation and insurance provisions in relevant contracts (for example: Construction contracts, Operating and Maintenance contracts, Raw material purchase and product sales contracts)
  • Managing compliance matters applicable to the loan and insurance agreements
  • Drafting reports to lenders, including matters concerning compliance, confirmation of applicability of coverage and deviations from loan agreements
  • Liaising with and managing key stakeholders, including risk managers, insurance managers, project managers, brokers, solicitors, underwriters and technical consultants

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing global entity, where the successful candidate can complete their training and upskill as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. The junior Insurance Associate will be supported by a high calibre and collegiate international team. Highly competitive remuneration. Ability to work in the Central London office 2-3 days per week.

Fluency in an additional European language is of interest, however not essential.
