Our Client, a Globally Renowned Sustainability Organisation, is seeking an In-House Employment Lawyer to join their EMEA & APAC Legal Department. There is flexibility to work from their London, Oxford, Bristol or Manchester offices, as well as working from home.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Global Head of Litigation, the Employment Counsel will advise the business within the EMEA and APAC Region and be responsible for dealing with a mix of both contentious and non-contentious matters. The successful employment lawyer will be responsible for providing advisory and litigation support services to the business on a wide range of employment law issues, including managing negotiations on behalf of organisation, advising on exit strategies and drafting settlement agreements. You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing pleadings, letters of advice and witness statements and preparing written submissions for preliminary and final case hearings.

 

  • Advising on M&A employment legal matters, performance management, risk management, regulatory employment guidelines and requirements and strategy Managing with employment tribunals and dealing with unfair dismissal claims Renewing the company’s employment policies and procedures Advising and supporting key regional HR business partners, this entails regional monthly meetings, reviewing cases and occasionally acting as a witness Managing the outsourcing of some advocacy

You

A passionate and enthusiastic, commercially minded Employment lawyer who can offer value to the business by excelling in the area of stakeholder management. Prior experience in Sustainability, Technology, Consulting, Manufacturing, Energy or Oil & Gas would be beneficial, however all candidates with relevant in-house employment law experience are encouraged to apply.

The ideal employment counsel will have trained within a leading City or Legal 500 practice and have worked in-house for a multi-national entity.
